Infants, Toddlers & Twos
Dunwoody Prep infants are cared for by our professional staff in small developmentally appropriate groups. We provide a home-like atmosphere where babies are rocked, cuddled and surrounded by love.
As our babies grow into toddlers, they are encouraged to make the transition toward independence. They participate through creative movement, art experiences, outdoor play, music and singing. All of these activities enhance the beginning of the language experience.
When the toddlers become terrific twos, they begin preparation for the academic skills needed for the Dunwoody Prep Pre-school Program. At this stage, our staff assists the children in developing their individual self-help skills while promoting self-worth and self-esteem.
Threes, Fours & Young Fives
The Dunwoody Prep Pre-school is a beehive of enthusiasm and learning. Our classes provide the growing child with learning centers that encourage learning by doing.
While the program is fluid in its approach, each child has the opportunity to experience:
- Exploratory centers where children can move freely
- Hands-on approach to math
- Language, Pre-reading and pre-writing activities
- Discovery Science
- Social Science Skills
- Social and Play Skills
- Art and Music
- Computers
- Spanish
- Sports Skills
Our teachers guide and facilitate the learning process by promoting readiness skills and developing an ongoing individual assessment for each child that addresses social, emotional and intellectual development.
