Dunwoody Prep and the Whole Child

Dunwoody Prep was established in 1988 and has an enrollment of 175 children from infants through five year olds. Our exceptional group of handpicked degreed and credentialed teachers guides and facilitates the learning process by promoting readiness skills and developing an ongoing individual assessment for each child that addresses physical, social, emotional and intellectual development.

Our program is fluid in its approach. Each child can move freely to exploratory centers where children experience hands on math skills, pre-reading and pre-writing activities, discovery science, social science skills, social and play skills, art and music, computers, life skills and Spanish. Dunwoody Prep's teachers provide the personal individual attention and the developmentally appropriate pacing which allows each child to grow in a natural progression.

To enhance the development of the "whole child" we offer specialty programs in our extended day program such as ballet and tap, creative movement, the Yamaha Music Program, discovery science, computers and sports skills.

Dunwoody Prep is fully accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. For more information and to make a reservation for our parent tours please call 770-396-2973.

Dunwoody Prep has received the distinction of being accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

This high honor is bestowed on preschools that meet stringent criteria through documentation and on-site visits reviewing staffing ratios, educational programs, health and safety. We exceed the highest standards as specified by the NAEYC and the State of Georgia.
